New update in the shop!
I just put some new one (sometimes two) of a kind colourways in the shop.

Only a smallish update today. Due to the weather more than half of the batch is still drying. This update is Valentine’s themed and has some solids/semisolids for you.
Here’s the shop and a sneak peek:
I’m new at blogging, but I thought I might give it a try.
My name is Mia, I’m located at Berlin, Germany and I’m into arts and crafts of any kind. Sewing, illustrating, mixed media collaging, spinning, but mostly I knit and dye fiber and yarn. That’s what this blog will mostly be about. I’m currently working on opening an Etsy shop, but this will take some time, because I’m busy with different projects right now.
The most important project is a shawl after a pattern by Jared Flood called Rock Island. It’s a bottom up design, with the lower edge knitted sideways in a beautiful lace pattern. Then stitches are picked up to kit another lace pattern, followed by garter stitch till the upper edge.
For this shawl I bought a 2-ply 100% merino yarn in black with 1250 m/100 grams, Grignasco Regina. Indeed it still needs to be wound. And to make it even more special and hard to finish in time till the first week of June, I plan to add beads to the lower edge. I still have no idea where exactly, I will knit a swatch tomorrow.
For people who have done this more often than me, it may sound like an easy-going thing, but
a) I’ve never used such a thin lace yarn
b) I never used beads in knitting
c) to z) I’m not that good in finishing things in time, particularly if the time rame is about three weeks for a project like that.
But we’ll see. As soon as there’s something to show, I’ll post some pics.
